I'm really posting to bring some attention to my wife's blog, hosted here at Vox, which you can see at lesswendy.vox.com. She's been doing a great job of sticking with her weight loss plan... now she only needs to post to her blog more!
What's up everybody? Long time no see post. Fall's just around the corner here in Indiana. Temps have been in the mid-seventies all week, which has been a pleasant change from the heatwave that was present for most of August
How's things by you? Things have been crazy busy on this end. A friend and I are launching a Blogs network that could be considered unusual in how we plan on increasing the size of the network. Add this link to your favorites and check back often; I think you'll like what we've got planned.
What's on your slate for this weekend? The wif and I are dropping Kels off at her Aunt's for the weekend, and we plan on hitting up Chevy's while in Champaign, IL (the drop-off point). Then, we'll probably have a somewhat lazy Saturday heading into a way busy Sunday. Craig Gross and JR Mahon from the Starving Jesus tour are stopping in at church to speak on Sunday evening. We'll be concluding the gathering about an hour early to go out into the community and serve, so it should be a neato Sunday. Monday will see us heading back to Champaign to pick Kels back up. Then, I think we're grilling brats for supper. Should be a swanky weekend.

Yesterday evening, my wife noticed a huge web near our front door. I'm a little defensive when it comes to killing bugs like spiders because I know they kill other smaller irritants. And I watch Steve Irwin alot.
Anyway, she wanted to tear the web down, I said no. So, this morning, she goes out the front door, and as I'm standing there, I look up in the top left corner of the screen door, and there he is. Pretty big, a light gray color with dark colored rings. ON THE INSIDE OF THE SCREEN DOOR. So, I open the screen door, shut the main door behind me, knock him down onto the ground with a stick, throw the doormat over him, and then dance like I've never danced before.
In doing a quick search in Google, it seems it may have been a hobo spider. Their bites look like they could be nasty! Just in case you're curious, just do a Google or Yahoo images search for hobo spider to get a look at him. I won't link here for the squeamish.
Now I have the creepy crawlies.
